The first NDC submission of Timor-Leste contributes highly, among others, to SDG 15 'Life on Land' (16%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (15%). For SDG 15 the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (57%) and Target '15.3 Restore degraded land and combat desertification' (36%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Fuel wood consumption reduction' (20%) and 'Carbon sequestration' (20%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (53%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (33%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (18%) and 'Clean cooking solutions' (11%).
The updated NDC submission of Timor-Leste contributes the most to SDG 17 'Partnerships for the Goals' (25%) and SDG 13 'Climate Action' (18%). For SDG 17 the highest contributions relate to Target '17.3 Mobilize additional financial resources for developing countries from multiple sources' (50%) and Target '17.6 Enhance global cooperation: technology, science and innovation' (33%). Here, the main climate actions are related to '(Need for) additional financial resources' (41%) and '(Need for) technology transfer' (33%). For SDG 13 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (38%) and Target '13.1 Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related and natural disasters' (31%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Monitoring and tracking of climate change' (23%) and 'Adaptive capacity enhancement' (17%).
