The first NDC submission of Democratic Republic of the Congo contributes highly, among others, to SDG 2 'No Hunger' (17%) and SDG 8 'Decent Work and Economic Growth' (17%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (100%). Here, climate actions are related to 'Food production' (50%) and 'Climate-smart and sustainable agriculture' (50%). For SDG 8 contributions relate to Target '8.4 Promote resource efficiency to decouple growth and degradation' (67%) and Target '8.2 Achieve higher levels of economic productivity through various measures' (33%). Here, climate actions are related to 'Long-term development strategies' (50%) and 'Green economy' (50%).

The updated NDC submission of Democratic Republic of the Congo contributes the most to SDG 15 'Life on Land' (21%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (18%). For SDG 15 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (51%) and Target '15.1 Conserve, restore and sustainbly use inland freshwater ecosystems' (14%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Forest management' (28%) and 'Conservation, restoration and rehabilitation of ecosystems' (21%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (62%) and Target '2.3 Increase agricultural productivity for small-scale producers' (38%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Increased agriculture productivity' (21%) and 'Improved soil management practices' (21%).
