The first NDC submission of Ghana contributes the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (27%) and SDG 15 'Life on Land' (15%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (45%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (40%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (26%) and 'Solar energy' (15%). For SDG 15 the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (57%) and Target '15.3 Restore degraded land and combat desertification' (29%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Biodiversity protection' (20%) and 'Afforestation' (20%).

For SDG 7 contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (71%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (29%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (45%) and 'Energy efficiency' (18%). For SDG 5 contributions relate to Target '5.1 End discrimination against women' (67%) and Target '5.5 Women's leadership at all levels' (33%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Protection of women from climate change risks' (33%) and 'Fostered female employment' (17%).
