Guyana

The first NDC submission of Guyana contributes highly, among others, to SDG 15 'Life on Land' (37%) and SDG 6 'Clean Water and Sanitation' (10%). For SDG 15 the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (47%) and Target '15.3 Restore degraded land and combat desertification' (32%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Deforestation prevention' (31%) and 'REDD+ Implementation' (19%). For SDG 6 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '6.1 Universal and equitable access to drinking water' (25%) and Target '6.2 Equitable access to sanitation and hygiene for all' (25%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Water allocation' (25%) and 'Access to sanitation' (25%).
