The first NDC submission of the European Union (submitted collectively) contributes to SDG 15 'Life on Land' (100%). For SDG 15 contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (50%) and Target '15.3 Restore degraded land and combat desertification' (50%).

The updated NDC submission of the European Union (submitted collectively) contributes highly, among others, to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (31%) and SDG 5 'Gender Equality' (15%). For SDG 7 contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (50%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (50%). Here, climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (75%) and 'Clean and renewable energy' (25%). For SDG 5 contributions relate to Target '5.5 Women's leadership at all levels' (67%) and Target '5.1 End discrimination against women' (33%). Here, climate actions are related to 'Female participation' (50%) and 'Integration of gender considerations in policy design' (50%).
