Gabon

The first NDC submission of Gabon contributes highly, among others, to SDG 17 'Partnerships for the Goals' (40%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (13%). For SDG 17 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '17.3 Mobilize additional financial resources for developing countries from multiple sources' (50%) and Target '17.11 Significantly increase exports of developing countries' (25%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Promotion of climate-conscious international trade' (50%) and 'Financial resource mobilization' (17%). For SDG 7 contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (67%) and Target '7.1 Access to affordable, reliable and modern energy for all' (33%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Transition from fossil-fuels base energy' (40%) and 'Access to energy' (20%).

The updated NDC submission of Gabon contributes the most to SDG 15 'Life on Land' (22%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (17%). For SDG 15 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (57%) and Target '15.1 Conserve, restore and sustainbly use inland freshwater ecosystems' (14%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Forest management' (27%) and 'Deforestation prevention' (20%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (63%) and Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (25%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (36%) and 'Clean and renewable energy' (14%).
