The first NDC submission of Liberia contributes highly, among others, to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (21%) and SDG 11 'Sustainable Cities and Communities' (14%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (67%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (28%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (19%) and 'Clean and renewable energy' (19%). For SDG 11 the highest contributions relate to Target '11.2 Accessible and sustainable transport systems' (62%) and Target '11.5 Disaster risk management' (23%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Reduction of loss and damage from climate impacts' (43%) and 'Air quality improvement' (29%).

The updated NDC submission of Liberia contributes the most to SDG 14 'Life below Water' (17%) and SDG 15 'Life on Land' (15%). For SDG 14 the highest contributions relate to Target '14.4 Regulate harvesting, end overfishing and restore fish stocks' (33%) and Target '14.2 Protect and restore marine and coastal ecosystems' (28%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Sustainable fishery management and fishing techniques' (27%) and 'Resilience of the fishery sector' (20%). For SDG 15 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (72%) and Target '15.1 Conserve, restore and sustainbly use inland freshwater ecosystems' (10%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Forest management' (18%) and 'Carbon sequestration' (16%).
