Honduras

The first NDC submission of Honduras contributes highly, among others, to SDG 2 'No Hunger' (53%) and SDG 15 'Life on Land' (14%). For SDG 2 the highest contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (81%) and Target '2.1 End hunger in all its forms' (14%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Food production' (15%) and 'Improved livestock resilience' (15%). For SDG 15 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '15.5 Halt loss of habitat and biodiversity, and prevent species extinction' (43%) and Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (29%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Biodiversity protection' (43%) and 'Afforestation' (14%).

The updated NDC submission of Honduras contributes the most to SDG 5 'Gender Equality' (20%) and SDG 10 'Reduced Inequalities' (12%). For SDG 5 contributions relate to Target '5.1 End discrimination against women' (100%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Integration of gender considerations in policy design' (55%) and 'Female participation' (32%). For SDG 10 the highest contributions relate to Target '10.2 Promote social, economic and political inclusion of all' (44%) and Target '10.3 Ensure equal opportuinity and reduce inequality of outcome' (31%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Inclusive policies' (35%) and 'Inclusion of low income and vulnerable groups' (30%).
