The first NDC submission of Lao People's Democratic Republic contributes the most to SDG 17 'Partnerships for the Goals' (29%) and SDG 15 'Life on Land' (23%). For SDG 17 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '17.9 Enhance support for capacity-building in developing countries to implement SDGs' (23%) and Target '17.3 Mobilize additional financial resources for developing countries from multiple sources' (21%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Capacity building in developing countries' (28%) and 'Financial resource mobilization' (25%). For SDG 15 the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (72%) and Target '15.3 Restore degraded land and combat desertification' (10%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Forest management' (33%) and 'Species protection' (17%).

The updated NDC submission of Lao People's Democratic Republic contributes the most to SDG 13 'Climate Action' (37%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (17%). For SDG 13 the highest contributions relate to Target '13.2 Integrate climate measures in national policy making' (57%) and Target '13.1 Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related and natural disasters' (29%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Mainstreaming' (53%) and 'Adaptive capacity enhancement' (13%). For SDG 7 contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (60%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (40%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (27%) and 'Energy efficiency' (18%).
