The first NDC submission of Central African Republic contributes the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (21%) and SDG 15 'Life on Land' (19%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (64%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (27%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Hydropower' (18%) and 'Energy efficiency' (18%). For SDG 15 the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (75%) and Target '15.5 Halt loss of habitat and biodiversity, and prevent species extinction' (17%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Biodiversity protection' (22%) and 'Afforestation' (22%).

The updated NDC submission of Central African Republic contributes highly, among others, to SDG 2 'No Hunger' (19%) and SDG 13 'Climate Action' (17%). For SDG 2 the highest contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (56%) and Target '2.3 Increase agricultural productivity for small-scale producers' (25%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Climate-smart and sustainable agriculture' (25%) and 'Increased agriculture productivity' (17%). For SDG 13 the highest contributions relate to Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (58%) and Target '13.2 Integrate climate measures in national policy making' (25%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Monitoring and tracking of climate change' (26%) and 'Strengthened institutional capacity for adaptation' (16%).
