The first NDC submission of Democratic People's Republic of Korea contributes highly, among others, to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (29%) and SDG 9 'Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure' (12%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (50%) and Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (42%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (29%) and 'Power plants construction' (13%). For SDG 9 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '9.4 Upgrade infrastructure, increase resource efficiency and adopt clean technologies' (54%) and Target '9.1 Develop resilient and sustainable infrastructure with access for all' (23%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Resilient infrastructures' (20%) and 'Infrastructures upgrade' (20%).

The updated NDC submission of Democratic People's Republic of Korea contributes highly, among others, to SDG 15 'Life on Land' (40%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (20%). For SDG 15 contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (100%). Here, climate actions are related to 'Forest management' (50%) and 'Afforestation' (50%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (100%).
