The first NDC submission of Gambia contributes the most to SDG 17 'Partnerships for the Goals' (30%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (20%). For SDG 17 the highest contributions relate to Target '17.6 Enhance global cooperation: technology, science and innovation' (57%) and Target '17.3 Mobilize additional financial resources for developing countries from multiple sources' (20%). Here, the main climate actions are related to '(Need for) technology transfer' (53%) and 'Financial resource mobilization' (19%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (53%) and Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (32%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (32%) and 'Codes, labelling and standards establishement' (8%).

The updated NDC submission of Gambia contributes highly, among others, to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (26%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (14%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (55%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (36%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (21%) and 'Solar energy' (17%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (71%) and Target '2.3 Increase agricultural productivity for small-scale producers' (29%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Improved livestock resilience' (43%) and 'Climate-smart and sustainable agriculture' (43%).
