The first NDC submission of Mozambique contributes the most to SDG 13 'Climate Action' (20%) and SDG 15 'Life on Land' (15%). For SDG 13 the highest contributions relate to Target '13.2 Integrate climate measures in national policy making' (50%) and Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (38%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Mainstreaming' (43%) and 'Disaster and risk reduction' (29%). For SDG 15 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '15.3 Restore degraded land and combat desertification' (40%) and Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (20%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Biodiversity protection' (33%) and 'Ecosystem planning' (33%).

For SDG 13 the highest contributions relate to Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (81%) and Target '13.1 Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related and natural disasters' (14%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Monitoring and tracking of climate change' (37%) and 'Disaster and risk reduction' (17%). For SDG 6 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '6.4 Increase water-use efficiency and sustainable withdrawal - reduce water scarcity' (78%) and Target '6.2 Equitable access to sanitation and hygiene for all' (11%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Water supply' (22%) and 'Irrigation improvement' (17%).
