The first NDC submission of Rwanda contributes the most to SDG 6 'Clean Water and Sanitation' (23%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (18%). For SDG 6 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '6.4 Increase water-use efficiency and sustainable withdrawal - reduce water scarcity' (78%) and Target '6.3 Improve water quality, reduce pollution, increase recycling' (11%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Efficient use of water' (22%) and 'Irrigation improvement' (17%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (100%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Climate-smart and sustainable agriculture' (27%) and 'Food production' (18%).

The updated NDC submission of Rwanda contributes the most to SDG 2 'No Hunger' (21%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (16%). For SDG 2 the highest contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (81%) and Target '2.3 Increase agricultural productivity for small-scale producers' (14%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Improved soil management practices' (19%) and 'Improved livestock resilience' (15%). For SDG 7 contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (70%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (30%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (21%) and 'Clean and renewable energy' (21%).
