The first NDC submission of Belize contributes the most to SDG 6 'Clean Water and Sanitation' (19%) and SDG 14 'Life below Water' (19%). For SDG 6 the highest contributions relate to Target '6.5 Implement integrated water resource management' (47%) and Target '6.6 Protect and restore water-related ecosystems' (47%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Integrated Water Resources Management' (24%) and 'Water policy and regulation' (20%). For SDG 14 the highest contributions relate to Target '14.5 Conserve coastal and marine areas' (50%) and Target '14.2 Protect and restore marine and coastal ecosystems' (43%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Mangroves protection' (33%) and 'Coastal management, conservation and rehabilitation' (33%).

For SDG 14 the highest contributions relate to Target '14.5 Conserve coastal and marine areas' (50%) and Target '14.2 Protect and restore marine and coastal ecosystems' (23%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Coastal management, conservation and rehabilitation' (32%) and 'Sustainable fishery management and fishing techniques' (13%). For SDG 13 the highest contributions relate to Target '13.1 Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related and natural disasters' (61%) and Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (35%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Adaptive capacity enhancement' (33%) and 'Monitoring and tracking of climate change' (18%).
