Sao Tome and Principe

The first NDC submission of Sao Tome and Principe contributes the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (25%) and SDG 17 'Partnerships for the Goals' (25%). For SDG 7 contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (100%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Hydropower' (27%) and 'Power plants construction' (27%). For SDG 17 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '17.3 Mobilize additional financial resources for developing countries from multiple sources' (25%) and Target '17.6 Enhance global cooperation: technology, science and innovation' (25%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Financial resource mobilization' (25%) and '(Need for) technology transfer' (25%).

The updated NDC submission of Sao Tome and Principe contributes highly, among others, to SDG 6 'Clean Water and Sanitation' (20%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (15%). For SDG 6 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '6.1 Universal and equitable access to drinking water' (25%) and Target '6.2 Equitable access to sanitation and hygiene for all' (25%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Water security' (20%) and 'Water access' (20%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (67%) and Target '2.3 Increase agricultural productivity for small-scale producers' (33%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Food production' (17%) and 'Increased agriculture productivity' (17%).
