Antigua and Barbuda

The first NDC submission of Antigua and Barbuda contributes the most to SDG 17 'Partnerships for the Goals' (23%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (16%). For SDG 17 the highest contributions relate to Target '17.9 Enhance support for capacity-building in developing countries to implement SDGs' (44%) and Target '17.6 Enhance global cooperation: technology, science and innovation' (33%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Capacity building in developing countries' (36%) and '(Need for) technology transfer' (27%). For SDG 7 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (60%) and Target '7.1 Access to affordable, reliable and modern energy for all' (20%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Off-grid and smart-grid systems' (22%) and 'Clean and renewable energy' (22%).

The updated NDC submission of Antigua and Barbuda contributes highly, among others, to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (23%) and SDG 13 'Climate Action' (12%). For SDG 7 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (78%) and Target '7.1 Access to affordable, reliable and modern energy for all' (11%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (26%) and 'Decentralization of energy supply' (14%). For SDG 13 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (45%) and Target '13.1 Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related and natural disasters' (27%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Adaptive capacity enhancement' (33%) and 'Disaster and risk reduction' (22%).
