Oman

The first NDC submission of Oman contributes highly, among others, to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (42%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (8%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (50%) and Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (40%). Here, climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (71%) and 'Clean and renewable energy' (29%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.1 End hunger in all its forms' (50%) and Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (50%). Here, climate actions are related to 'Improved food security' (100%).

For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (67%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (22%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (29%) and 'Financial mechanisms for energy' (10%). For SDG 12 contributions relate to Target '12.4 Reduce release of waste and chemicals' (80%) and Target '12.2 Effiecient and sustainable use of natural resources' (20%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Sustainable production measures' (45%) and 'Sustainable consumption measures' (18%).
