The first NDC submission of Kenya contributes the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (17%) and SDG 13 'Climate Action' (13%). For SDG 7 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (50%) and Target '7.1 Access to affordable, reliable and modern energy for all' (25%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (29%) and 'Reliable energy' (14%). For SDG 13 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '13.2 Integrate climate measures in national policy making' (50%) and Target '13.1 Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related and natural disasters' (25%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Mainstreaming' (50%) and 'Adaptive capacity enhancement' (25%).

The updated NDC submission of Kenya contributes the most to SDG 13 'Climate Action' (27%) and SDG 9 'Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure' (10%). For SDG 13 the highest contributions relate to Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (43%) and Target '13.1 Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related and natural disasters' (38%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Adaptive capacity enhancement' (19%) and 'Strengthened institutional capacity for adaptation' (19%). For SDG 9 contributions relate to Target '9.1 Develop resilient and sustainable infrastructure with access for all' (54%) and Target '9.4 Upgrade infrastructure, increase resource efficiency and adopt clean technologies' (46%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Resilient infrastructures' (39%) and 'Infrastructures upgrade' (33%).
