The first NDC submission of Burkina Faso contributes the most to SDG 11 'Sustainable Cities and Communities' (16%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (14%). For SDG 11 the highest contributions relate to Target '11.1 Universal access to safe housing and basic services' (30%) and Target '11.5 Disaster risk management' (30%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Reduction of loss and damage from climate impacts' (25%) and 'Safe and adequate housing' (25%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (88%) and Target '2.1 End hunger in all its forms' (13%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Fertilizer use' (30%) and 'Increased agriculture productivity' (20%).

The updated NDC submission of Burkina Faso contributes the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (40%) and SDG 11 'Sustainable Cities and Communities' (14%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (61%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (33%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (25%) and 'Solar energy' (22%). For SDG 11 the highest contributions relate to Target '11.2 Accessible and sustainable transport systems' (55%) and Target '11.5 Disaster risk management' (27%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Urban planning' (47%) and 'Reduction of loss and damage from climate impacts' (27%).
