For SDG 15 the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (62%) and Target '15.3 Restore degraded land and combat desertification' (14%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Afforestation' (25%) and 'Forest management' (11%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (83%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (13%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Bioenergy' (26%) and 'Solar energy' (18%).
The updated NDC submission of Malawi contributes the most to SDG 2 'No Hunger' (27%) and SDG 9 'Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure' (14%). For SDG 2 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (76%) and Target '2.2 End malnutrition in all forms' (10%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Improved soil management practices' (18%) and 'Climate-smart and sustainable agriculture' (16%). For SDG 9 the highest contributions relate to Target '9.2 Sustainable industrialisation and raise employment and GDP' (38%) and Target '9.4 Upgrade infrastructure, increase resource efficiency and adopt clean technologies' (38%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Infrastructures upgrade' (21%) and 'Sustainable transport' (16%).
