The first NDC submissions of countries in Asia contribute the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (17%) and SDG 11 'Sustainable Cities and Communities' (12%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (49%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (42%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (25%) and 'Clean and renewable energy' (16%). For SDG 11 the highest contributions relate to Target '11.2 Accessible and sustainable transport systems' (46%) and Target '11.3 Inclusive and sustainable urbanization and participatory planning' (19%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Urban planning' (21%) and 'Reduction of loss and damage from climate impacts' (14%).

The updated NDC submissions of countries in Asia contribute the most to SDG 13 'Climate Action' (16%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (11%). For SDG 13 the highest contributions relate to Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (47%) and Target '13.1 Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related and natural disasters' (32%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Adaptive capacity enhancement' (24%) and 'Strengthened institutional capacity for adaptation' (13%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (51%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (43%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (25%) and 'Energy efficiency' (22%).
