The first NDC submissions of High Income countries contribute the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (18%) and SDG 11 'Sustainable Cities and Communities' (13%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (47%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (44%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (25%) and 'Clean and renewable energy' (21%). For SDG 11 the highest contributions relate to Target '11.2 Accessible and sustainable transport systems' (55%) and Target '11.6 Reduce environmental impact of cities (air quality, waste)' (18%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Urban planning' (19%) and 'Public transport access' (18%).
The updated NDC submissions of High Income countries contribute the most to SDG 13 'Climate Action' (16%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (16%). For SDG 13 the highest contributions relate to Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (37%) and Target '13.2 Integrate climate measures in national policy making' (34%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Strengthened institutional capacity for mitigation' (19%) and 'Strengthened institutional capacity for adaptation' (18%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (48%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (41%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (22%) and 'Energy efficiency' (22%).
