The first NDC submission of Sudan contributes the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (27%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (20%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (57%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (33%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (25%) and 'Solar energy' (11%). For SDG 2 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (62%) and Target '2.1 End hunger in all its forms' (14%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Improved livestock resilience' (30%) and 'Climate-smart and sustainable agriculture' (22%).

The updated NDC submission of Sudan contributes the most to SDG 2 'No Hunger' (32%) and SDG 6 'Clean Water and Sanitation' (19%). For SDG 2 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (76%) and Target '2.3 Increase agricultural productivity for small-scale producers' (12%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Improved livestock resilience' (21%) and 'Climate-smart and sustainable agriculture' (13%). For SDG 6 the highest contributions relate to Target '6.4 Increase water-use efficiency and sustainable withdrawal - reduce water scarcity' (50%) and Target '6.5 Implement integrated water resource management' (25%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Water management' (22%) and 'Hydropower' (12%).
