The first NDC submission of Niger contributes the most to SDG 15 'Life on Land' (29%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (26%). For SDG 15 the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (62%) and Target '15.3 Restore degraded land and combat desertification' (27%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Forest management' (33%) and 'Rangelands management' (11%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (48%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (29%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (21%) and 'Access to energy' (13%).

The updated NDC submission of Niger contributes the most to SDG 2 'No Hunger' (30%) and SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (20%). For SDG 2 the highest contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (54%) and Target '2.3 Increase agricultural productivity for small-scale producers' (39%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Increased agriculture productivity' (18%) and 'Improved livestock resilience' (17%). For SDG 7 contributions relate to Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (58%) and Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (42%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (28%) and 'Clean and renewable energy' (20%).
