The first NDC submission of Guatemala contributes the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (19%) and SDG 15 'Life on Land' (19%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (50%) and Target '7.1 Access to affordable, reliable and modern energy for all' (33%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Clean and renewable energy' (43%) and 'Reliable energy' (29%). For SDG 15 the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (38%) and Target '15.5 Halt loss of habitat and biodiversity, and prevent species extinction' (25%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Biodiversity protection' (29%) and 'Conservation, restoration and rehabilitation of ecosystems' (14%).

The updated NDC submission of Guatemala contributes the most to SDG 15 'Life on Land' (20%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (12%). For SDG 15 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '15.2 Promote sustainable forest management and expansion and halt deforestation' (82%) and Target '15.5 Halt loss of habitat and biodiversity, and prevent species extinction' (9%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Forest management' (22%) and 'Afforestation' (19%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (83%) and Target '2.2 End malnutrition in all forms' (17%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Improved soil management practices' (29%) and 'Improved livestock resilience' (29%).
