The first NDC submission of Pakistan contributes the most to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (32%) and SDG 2 'No Hunger' (29%). For SDG 7 the highest contributions relate to Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (78%) and Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (17%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (41%) and 'Clean heating and air conditioning' (12%). For SDG 2 contributions relate to Target '2.4 Ensure sustainable agricultural practices for reselience and resource protection' (84%) and Target '2.5 Maintain genetic diversity and traditional knowledge' (16%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Climate-smart and sustainable agriculture' (20%) and 'Fertilizer use' (16%).

The updated NDC submission of Pakistan contributes the most to SDG 5 'Gender Equality' (25%) and SDG 13 'Climate Action' (14%). For SDG 5 the highest contributions relate to Target '5.5 Women's leadership at all levels' (68%) and Target '5.3 Eliminate harmful practices' (14%). Here, the main climate actions are related to 'Strengthened female skills' (35%) and 'Female participation' (22%). For SDG 13 the highest contributions relate to Target '13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change issues' (70%) and Target '13.2 Integrate climate measures in national policy making' (20%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Adaptive capacity enhancement' (25%) and 'Strengthened institutional capacity for adaptation' (18%).
